Sweet ‘Art are delighted to invite you to Beautiful & Damned, their next multi-disciplinary art exhibition, showcasing the work of over 30 accomplished artists.

​

The exhibition, running over the Halloween period will be serving up some of Sweet ‘Art’s most decadently debauched arty offerings! No tombstone has been left unturned in selecting artists whose works explore the glamorous and grotesque, disturbed and diabolical, surreal and supernatural, merciless and macabre and uncanny and undead!

​

The 20 day long art exhibition will take place in Vout-O-Reenees Stash Gallery and the opening reception and costume party will be hosted in the aptly decadent Vout-O-Reenees arts members club, housed in the crypt of a gothic church. 

​

Trick or treat yourself to the opening reception on the 1st November where you can meet the artists, enjoy a glass of wine in beautiful surroundings and view the most wonderfully weird, gloriously gory and mercilessly macabre artworks. Then join us again if you dare on the 3rd November for The Beautiful & Damned costume party for an evening of art, cocktails, spooky performance and storytelling, live music and a sweet treat gory banquet!

Start the evening with a gnawing feeling of anxiety as you lean in and listen to spooky tales by candlelight, courtesy of the talented Vanessa Woolf. Nibble on gory edibles as the feeling of impending doom rises, and then celebrate the witching hour in abject terror under the spell of avant- garde rock- cabaret band SLapPer! Very fancy dress will be mandatory at pain of death. Think frightening flapper. Think gory Gatsby. Be beautiful, be damned, be art!

Beautiful & Damned is sponsored by Memento Media who will be joining Sweet ‘Art guests and artists in creating a collaborative VR realisation of the event. Using state-of-the-art technology Memento will be working with co curating guests and artists to share their creative perspective of this immersive art happening. The collaboration will result in the creation of an exciting VR landscape where art meets new technologies that can be accessed by contributors via a phone app and can be experienced again and again!
